At the Zoo
We went to the zoo! It was lovely seeing the residents' face light up when they interacted with the animals. Looking at these marvelous works of creation really made their day. Thank you to all the staff for volunteering their time to take our residents out. Would you like to take them to the zoo? We know our residents would absolutely love it. An afternoon well spent in the company of animals. 🐄🐎🐇
Research on Human–Animal Interaction and Older Adults has shown that animal-assisted activities and therapy has been associated with reductions in depression symptoms and are particularly apparent with the elderly. It has been shown to reduce anxiety in patients with Alzheimer’s disease, those hospitalized with heart failure, and residents of long-term care facilities.

Making the most of some sunshine. Sitting in the garden, admiring creation, getting in some exercise - it was a beautiful day!
