Set in 7 acres of land on the edge of the Brecon Beacons, our Merthyr home is in an idyllic spot adjacent to the main road that connects the major towns and cities of South Wales.
Our Merthyr home has 51 ensuite bedrooms and a beautiful Kingdom Hall where our brothers and sisters can enjoy spiritual nourishment and association with the local congregation. A delightful courtyard style garden was added to the property by local brothers and sisters who worked as volunteers donating much of the materials for it.
A Bit of History
Our home in Merthyr was formerly a hotel with a lavish ballroom. We bought the three storey property in 2006 and after renovations and the addition of a new wing, Jah-Jireh Merthyr was officially opened in June 2007 with 51 ensuite bedrooms, with the local congregation of Merthyr renovating the ballroom to have a Kingdom Hall on site.
Meet the Management Team
Our Business Manager, Mark Ambler is from the Mill Hill area of London and has been working with us since 2008, originally looking after building maintenance. He is an asset to the team, managing the local finances and the general running of the building. We have recently appointed a new care manager who is currently being registered with CIW and working well with Mark making excellent progress. Their commitment to our elderly brothers and sisters is heartwarming and a real blessing to the home. All of our Managers have completed extensive training and are trained (or in the process of being trained to NVQ Level V in Leadership & Management.
