If you are able to work as a team and use your initiative in solving problems you will be a great asset to any of our homes, but it's your values, behaviour and attitude that will set you apart. So if you are the kind of person who treats others with respect, listens to their needs, understands their emotions, and is warm, kind and honest, then this type of work will be very rewarding for you.
Everyone gets a full induction when they start that helps you to understand the organisation, the job role, issues to do with health & safety and how to work following correct procedures. Some specific training relevant to your chosen role will be given and from there it depends on how you would like to make a difference.
While you work, you can begin informal training or undertake formal qualifications such as a Diploma in Health and Social Care or specialist subjects like dementia care, communication skills and team leading.
Management training and development is also available to those wishing to progress to senior levels and want to take on more responsibility. We are hoping to develop more facilities in the future so there will be opportunities to expand in different aspects of care.
No matter where you start or what path you choose to take, there are always opportunities to progress and develop at Jah-Jireh, have a truly rewarding career, while taking the lead in caring for some very special people.
Even if you are not looking for a permanent position, we are always glad of extra help especially during busy times of the year and you can go on our list of paid bank staff that would be willing to help out at these times. Just mention this when you fill out the application.
Please submit the following application and we will be in touch with you. As this is a job with vulnerable adults there will be a more comprehensive application and CRB to be completed later.
